Jess Walker will become GB’s first representative in the women’s K1 200m event this summer after she earned her place as one of nine athletes in the canoe sprint team. Jess will also join up with Rachael Cawthorn, Angela Hannah and Louisa Sawers to compete in the women’s K4 500m.

Jess Walker continued her hugely successful start to the season yesterday as her quartet claimed gold at the Duisburg leg of the World Cup after their opponents collided.
