Dan Greaves, the current F44/46 discus world record holder, has been chosen to captain the Great Britain and Northern Ireland squad at the BT Paralympic World Cup, to be held in May.
The 26-strong team will include sprint trio Libby Clegg, Katrina Hart and Richard Whitehead. Alongside these will be 17-year-old Ola Abidogun, making his debut in his hometown of Manchester and also multiple World Championships medallist Paul Blake.
“I’m really excited about competing for the Aviva GB & NI team again at the Paralympic World Cup, especially after our success at the IPC World Championships in New Zealand,” said Greaves.
“For the team it’s another great chance to showcase Britain’s talent, and for me it’s an opportunity to better last year’s World Leading mark which I achieved in this event.
Back in January, Dan successfully defended his IPC Athletics World Championship title in New Zealand, extending his world record by 3.45m which sees him closing in on the 60m mark.
