Kruse defeats World no.1 on way to bronze0

Richard, the current British number 1, beat world number one Andrea Cassara en route to a Grand Prix bronze medal in Japan.

Richard is one of two home fencers to have already qualified for the Olympics, and recorded his first victory over Cassara in three attempts, winning 15-13 before going out in the semi-finals to China’s Jianfei Ma 15-14.
