In a successful World Indoor Championships Team GB took a total of 9 medals, the highest total ever taken by the team.
One of the highlights was a medal for GSE’s very own Andrew Osagie, who took bronze in the 800m despite having struggled with injury in recent months. Andrew produced an outstanding performance in the final to secure third place in a time of 1.48.62
Andrew said: “I am so happy. It has been such a good day for Great Britain. I thought it [the race] was going to be really slow, but then a couple ran really quickly. I just had to stay focused.”
Andrew is now fully focused on London and the prospect of a medal at the Olympics
